Lake Lemon is located in Brown and Monroe Counties in southern Indiana. The main lake has good weekday kayaking, but our favorite anytime is the Brown County (upper/east) end of Lake Lemon.
There is an abundance of wildlife, including bald eagles, in the area where Bean Blossom Creek enters Lake Lemon. Going upstream in Bean Blossom Creek, you can get almost to Helmsburg by kayak and through the town of Trevlac. This is an especially good early season excursion that takes 3-4 hours.
When the water levels are high enough in Bean Blossom Creek you ca kayak from the Helmsburg Road Bridge to Lake Lemon. This is a 3.5 hour trip.
