Lake Lemon, in Brown and Monroe Counties, is a good quick boating and kayaking trip. The main lake has good weekday kayaking, but our favorite is the Brown County (upper/east) end of Lake Lemon in Bean Blossom Creek.
There is an abundance of wildlife, in the area where Bean Blossom Creek enters Lake Lemon. Going upstream in Bean Blossom Creek, you can pass through the town of Trevlac and almost to Helmsburg by kayak or motorboat. This is an especially good early season excursion that takes 3 hours.
